Many factors determine the severity of scarring: the size of a wound, its depth, the blood supply to the area, and skin tone. No surgeon can completely remove a scar, but the appearance of most scars can be greatly improved. Laser scar revision is a highly effective surgical procedure used to improve the appearance of scars that do not respond to cortisone drugs, steroids or skin gels.
